Carve our pumpkin with the name of ~ JESUS
Let your light shine :)
In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. ~ Matthew 5:16

We will have a big bowl of candy outside on a self serve table with our JESUS pumpkin and this sign above posted. It is meant to represent TRUTH and LOVE...not to offend or hurt anyone.
My friend Leigh Ann at Devoted Living had a guest post at Impress Your Kids that is wonderful about this topic. Check it out here.

What a great idea! Sounds awesome. We have a little board book about God's jack o'lantern with scriptures on each page too. Sounds like a plan for Friday.
This looks great! We just bought a little Pumpkin Tale booklet to hand out with each bag of candy. At the end, it tells the salvation message. We decorated the bags with Jesus is the light written in marker. I have been wanting to do this for some time, and this is the first year I have made the time to do it!
Loved the pictures of the Smokies. The colors are at their peak this week. Just beautiful! Email me if you ever visit this way again. The header photo on my blog is one I took yesterday after our Monarch tagging. I could have sit by the river all day with a good book!
Thanks Michelle. The booklets sound wonderful too. It would be really nice to meet up one day. :)
Found your blog through Michelle at Be Still. Love your blog. Your pumpkin is beautiful and I like your sign. We had a hot dog supper at our church for the kids. We then took 29 dressed up kids and 15 adults(parents) from the church and took them on a hay ride to 8 church member houses for little treats. Each house had homemade goodies and some had cool refreshments. It was 86 degrees here. Our theme this year is Let Your Light Shine For Jesus. Halloween is a difficult time, what to do. Kids love to play dress up, but who wants to celebrate a pagan holiday. This is how we compromised. Many blessings.
Dearest Denise, Thanks for stopping by and always leaving a refreshing word. I love your heart for the Lord and how you boldly live that out.
