A Different Choice This Year!!

We are no longer celebrating Halloween so, since Mom is away on her birthday today we took the girls to Cracker Barrel for dinner tonight! We had a nice time together and the sunset was beautiful when we got there!!

The girls always ask for their time to rock when we go there!

We rented Evan Almighty the other night and it was a great movie!! Yesterday we went to the theatre to see 'The 10 Commandments' it was also good and we all enjoyed it :)

Praise Report/ Update on Argie!

ARGIE IS OUT OF ICU…PRAISE THE LORD!!!!

She was moved to a different hospital, more like a rehab facility with the intent to work her off the ventilator/tracheotomy. She arrived Monday at 2:55pm and was at a level of 35% oxygen…Tuesday by 11:15am she was down to only 28%...this is incredible and a HUGE testimony to the Lord!!! 21% is room oxygen (what we all breathe) so we know God is really moving and we are believing she will be off the ventilator very soon!!! She is not on any heart medicine…Glory to God!!! The only medicine she is on is an anti-depressant since last Wednesday and she has her feeding tube in. For the past 24-48 hours she has been eating ice chips and can’t get enough!! Her color is incredible Angie said...the doctors are in awe of what God is doing!!! She is HAPPY and content to be in this hospital they moved her to and she is pleasant to the nurses & staff…Thank you Jesus-what a Miracle this is!!!

Angie said she is a different person…God has answered our prayers!!!J Even Angie sounded amazing on the phone and to hear the transformation that has taken place in my sister-in-law is so encouraging and brings so much Joy to my heart!! Hallelujah!! God is so Faithful and has heard & answered our prayers from 21-40+ days ago. This is an incredible encounter with the Lord that Argie is experiencing and it is touching her children…they too are being set free…Praise You GOD!!!!

Angie (Roy’s big sister) said to let all of you know how much the family appreciates your prayers and the POWER of Prayer!!! This is yet another Miracle, she said!!!!

Thank you for praying and standing in agreement with us…we know the Lord is not done!!! We Praise Him for every life he has touched through this process and we thank Him in advance for what is still to come and those that will be touched!!! GOD is so Good and so FAITHFUL…no weapon formed against us shall prosper!!!! We Give you all the Glory Lord!!!!

Some highlights for the girls over this past week!

With the cooler weather making its way here it was time to clean the screens & windows! The girls had fun helping us out!!

Mia is doing so good with phonics now...it is so amazing to watch her catch on to the sounds / blends in the words. This was a review game with the blend ladders t & l ...she got to put together the clowns face & balloons when she got the answer right the first time!!! Abeka is so much fun :)

Praise Report/Update on Roy from Sunday!

Thank you all for your prayers and lifting us up…Roy is feeling much better today…PRAISE GOD!!! We are so encouraged today by the challenging day we had yesterday!

We love you guys!

P.S.- I have gotten used to the space in my teeth and my tongue doesn't have to feel the rough edges every 5 minutes...now that is a GOD thing!!!! I have peace until I get into the dentist next week!!! GOD is GOOD all the time...and all the time...GOD IS GOOD!!! ... :)

Our attacks today!

We had a very exhausting day with the enemy trying to wear us down! It started with Roy having to go to the urgent care center for his prayer request and then our family came over to celebrate the birthday girls!

I made dinner and we had just said the blessing and were sitting down to eat. All I remember was me about to take my first bite of the creamy chicken enchiladas with the bite almost up to my mouth when Roy said "Denise, take that knife away from Mia!!" I then bit down on what I thought was the bite of food so I could get up to get the knife off of the girls table. I bit down on what felt SO hard and within a second I realized I must have caught majority of the fork in that bite right down the middle of my upper front teeth. I said "Oh my God...wondering what just happened Lord?" and went straight to my bathroom and I don't think anyone knew yet what had happened. I had intense pressure and pain in my front teeth up top like something was jammed in them pushing them either together or apart...it was hard to tell!! I grabbed the dental floss and when I flossed in that area part of my tooth came out with it...I then totally lost it and started balling!! These front teeth were bonded about 16-17 years ago to fill in a space I had always had growing up. Back then my dentist said it would probably last about maybe 8-10 years. So I know I have been very blessed but, I grew up so picky and self concious about these teeth and the day they were bonded I was SO HAPPY to have the transformation ( I know that is vain, I am being honest!)...it truly broke me when this happened today. The things that went through my head today were silly but I was so upset and angry with the enemy for trying to attack my family and I was thinking Oh my gosh...this is going to cost so much money to fix this!!

Roy then realized something was going on when I was still in the bathroom and he found me sobbing and at a point of surrendering with the Lord...please God I can't handle anymore today!!! Roy was awesome and so compassionate and helped me Stand in Faith and told me it would all work out!! It really opened my eyes to see how vain I still am...it amazed me that God could use this one circumstance that the enemy intended for harm and the Lord turned it around for His good and taught me so much!! It does hurt right now and it feels rough on my tongue...other than that I am once again in Awe of the Lord and His mercy & grace that is new everyday!!!

A little later after dinner, some of us had coffee and Mia went under the table and was being shy and she must have grabbed the tablecloth to try to cover herself up and within a split second everything on the table including a mug of coffee landed on the floor and shattered!! You can imagine the scene with 3 dogs running around and the adults trying to clean up the puddles of coffee and the broken mug all over the floor...it was crazy!!! This happened so fast that our eyes could not even follow it all hitting the ground...it was almost comical :)

It was an awesome day though...regardless of these events...God is so Good, Merciful and Faithful! !! We had such a great time playing Cranium...laughing and enjoying one anothers company...the family time we are all so blessed to have :)

I am so thankful we could laugh about everything and enjoy our time together despite the plans the enemy had...God is so Good and SO FAITHFUL!!!! We Love You Darlene :)

We were also celebrating Mom's birthday which is the 31st. My Aunt Jan came in town to spend some time with her on her birthday and thay are taking a little getaway to Georgia for a couple days. So glad you all can get away for a break and some quality sister time together!!! We love you both :)

Prayer Request for Roy!

Hey Everyone,

While Roy was at work yesterday, out of nowhere he got extreme shooting pain in his right testicle. It remained the same through the night and this morning he had to call into work to go to the urgent care center. The doctor said he believes it is just an infection and he gave him antibiotics. He said the next 24 hours are critical to determine if he has testicle torsion which is a serious condition that requires immediate admission into the ER and most cases emergency surgery. He has not had any symptoms of this like fever, nausea or vomiting…just the pain! We are not receiving this in the name of Jesus!!!

We know the enemy is not happy about all the interceding we are doing for Roy’s Mom…we know the devil is a liar and only comes to steal, kill & destroy what the Lord is doing. We also know that NO weapon formed against us shall prosper!!! We are believing God and standing in faith on His word & His promises!!! Please stand in agreement with us that the Lord’s healing hand is upon Roy from head to toe in Jesus name!!! J We give God all the Glory in advance for what He is doing and we Praise God that we became insured as of 10/21/07…God is so Good!!! Please lift us up for strength to continue to stand STRONG in the Lord!!

Update on Argie!

Hey Everyone,

God is still good all the time!!! Argie is doing better in many ways…her lungs have cleared up…Thank You Jesus! We received a couple calls today…the first was that they would be moving Argie to a state hospital where they could continue the care for the tracheotomy (ventilator) and that medicare would pay for 100+ days. This evening we got another call that she would be moved on Monday and that medicare will only pay for 30 days. After that she would be discharged and that there are only 2 facilities in the country that specialize in this type of care around the clock and it is not determined if she would be accepted. In her current physical state she would need 24 hour round the clock care and can not eat or drink at all…she is fed by a tube. Earlier we were told that the doctor said she was getting depressed.

These are the facts in the natural however; we know we have been called to view this through spiritual eyes. Just as we are to walk by faith, not by sight…we know God is still in control and that His hand is still firmly upon her. We are believing that suddenly she will no longer need this ventilator at all anymore and that suddenly she will be healed, delivered & restored 100%!!!

Please continue to pray and stand in agreement with us that she will be able to breathe on her own without the ventilator and that her heart would remain softened & pliable towards the Lord and what He is working in & out of her! God is Faithful and we continue to place our trust in HIM alone…To God Be All the Glory!!!

Isai & Sam's Wedding!

Here is the Beautiful Couple! They are an incredible team in the work that they do for the Lord and the Love they show for His people!

This is my beautiful friend Leonarda, I call her Lee. She is an Amazing Woman and the Lord has used her to pour into me over the past couple of years...I love her dearly :)

David & Stacey were at our table and we all had such a great time laughing and cutting up!

Roy & I...our love grows richer & deeper as every year goes by...I Love you Honey!

Here is Pastor Keith & Lee...they could do stand-up comedy on the side, they are so funny & entertaining...we love to be around them! We know it is sure to be a time of pure joy & laughter anytime we see them together :)

oops...caught you getting another piece Pastor Keith! His defense was that this piece was chocolate cake instead of the previous piece being yellow cake!!!

Our Awesome friends Kevin & Lisa...they both have incredibly BIG hearts for people!!! God has used them in our walk with Him over the past couple of years to stretch & strengthen us!! They are both such giving people... we love you both :)

This is why Kevin is in his trendy camo clothing at the wedding...it is to celebrate the Big Buck he just brought back in town!! He came straight from the hunting camp in Georgia...he would not have looked right if he wore anything else that night :) We Love You Kevin!!!

Madeline's First Camp!

IHOP'S Childrens Equipping Center (International House of Prayer in Kansas City) came down last weekend for 'The Signs & Wonders Camp'. Madeline & I went for the day on Saturday...we had a great time. She wished she could have spent the night like most of the other kids...maybe next time!! Mia wanted to go but, you had to be in 1st- 6th grade. So she spent the day with Grandpa & Grandma and had a very fun time :)

Here is a really cool teaching about Harp & Bowl...it was a very interesting and easy way for the kids to grasp and get hold of this concept!

Madeline out on the back porch of the girls cabin...this was a beautiful facility!


It took us about an hour and fifteen minutes to get there...it was well worth the drive and all of the beautiful landscapes we saw along the way :)

These were the most beautiful color of wild berries...the camera even had a hard time capturing the true color!

Madeline on the volleyball court...this was new to her and she didn't know the rules and was getting frustrated that she couldn't get a turn with the ball...

...a couple minutes later I look up and she is on the other side of the field with a completely different group of people (who were not there with us!) and she has their soccer ball kicking it around with them (hopefully she was sharing THEIR ball...lol!) This really brought Joy to my heart seeing her over there. She didn't feel that she had to only stay around the kids of her own age... she knew she could just as easily hang out & interact with girls in their late teens/early twenties, as well. That is one of the beautiful points of homeschooling...I was so encouraged...:)

PRAISE REPORT/ Update on Argie!!!

Hey Prayer Warriors,

GOD IS SO GOOD!!!! As I am sitting down to type this out…I keep hearing Misty Edwards voice singing from IHOP during a recording when she shouts Hal...le Hallelujah Hal…le Hallelujah over & over about 50 times and it’s followed by…PRAISE THE LORD!!! This is how our spirit is rejoicing right now and is in Awe of what God is doing…HE IS SO FAITHFUL and is showing us that His Word will not return void!!! but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint- Isaiah 40:31.

They had to do a tracheotomy on Argie a few days ago for the ventilator to go in that way. However, they took her off “full-time” sedation…Thank You Jesus!!! I had no word at that point what all her vitals were so I didn’t send an update.

Roy got a call today that she was SITTING UP on the side of her ICU bed talking & giving orders!!! (she was unable to even move or adjust herself when we were there…before the sedation began!!) All her vitals are very good!!! She’s still in ICU but the Lord must have really worked in her heart all that time she was sedated because Argie and her oldest daughter Angie had a major falling out last go around after the brain hemmorage back in March and they were not speaking at all. Now, TODAY…she is grateful and happy Angie is there and she is being kind to her!!! This is an incredible breakthrough and something only GOD could do…HE IS A GOD OF MIRACLES and RESTORATION!!!! HE is delivering & healing this family from all the STRONGholds that have kept them bound!!!! I know this is a long email but, I wanted to make sure God gets ALL the Glory for every facet of this journey this family continues to walk through!!!

Please continue to stand firm with us declaring that the hand of God is upon this family and that…no weapon formed against them shall prosper and that they continue to surrender and have a softened & pliable heart toward God as He completes what He has begun here!!!

Our Fun Day With Friends!

My friend Lee, the girls & I had an awesome day driving out to the beautiful country to see our friend Kawai's new home! They have a beautiful home and Kawai made our day very special while we were there :)

She took us to a pumpkin patch at a nearby church and the girls really had fun...especially setting up the pumpkins for the first picture above!

These were some of the many pumpkins Madeline was checking out to see which one would be coming home with her :)

This is Eustis...their VERY sweet puppy!! The girls are still asking... "Mommy, when can we get a dog??!!" He was such a mellow, little guy to be a puppy...what a blessing!!!

Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra Field Trip!

This was a Wonderful field trip! Madeline & I went to it last year...you had to be in K to attend. So, Mia was very happy to be going this year...she is our real lover of musical instruments!! We also got to see the Orlando Opera & Orlando Ballet do a number...it was so awesome! Madeline was dancing around last night and Mia was humming like a trumpet for her piece:)

When we were walking out we got a free preview of a show at the arena this coming weekend! These guys were on dirt bikes jumping VERY high in the air and doing flips way up in the air. I told the girls this is what Daddy used to do in the woods...however, I don't think he went this high in the air!!! You never know though!!! There are 2 motorcycles flying in this picture.
