Our Marriage Getaway Weekend

We had an amazing time at the couples encounter at our church this weekend. We are in awe of what the Lord did in our hearts individually and as a couple. The inner healing and ministry that took place was incredible...an absolute GOD thing!!

We arrived Friday night for the teachings and then we all stayed at a nearby bed & breakfast. Saturday began with teachings throughout the day and ended with a beautiful banquet they had catered for us in one of our church buildings. We even got to renew our vows out loud, as couples- it was so awesome!!! The above picture is the bed & breakfast.

This picture is of the LONG hallway at the B & B leading to our room. This is a very old, historical building that housed soldiers during two wars. It had wood floors...and antiques throughout.

It was really neat to see this hanging on the wall in our room. This scripture was the emphasis for the weekend...1 Corinthians 13. All the rooms there are different too.

The door in and a sitting bench...

the double bed and antique chest in front of it...

the bathroom and very old toilet...not so excited about that fixture!! :)

This closet would not open...not sure what was in there?

This is the look on my face when Roy showed me the roach on the wall while he was using the bathroom. It was about 4 or 5 inches long...Yuuccckkkk!!!!

We were so excited to have some time away with each other and the Lord. :)

This old instrument was near one of the windows in the kitchen area. Mia would have loved seeing this!!

This is the breakfast area...it was very quaint.

This was the opposite end of this large room with a sitting area.

This added such a nice touch :)

Early Saturday morning...Valentine's Day.

Later that evening, us at the banquet.

I love you honey and am so grateful for this time away for the Lord to gently stir our hearts & heal, restore and pour into us in such a powerful way. I look forward to all the plans He has for us & our family this year. May we bring Him glory in all things!!
