It's Summer & Daddy is off!!!

We had a fun time on Tuesday with the girls at Festival Bay! We went to see Kung Fu Panda and then walked around Bass Pro Shop. The girls then wanted to show us the Vans Skate Park. We had a nice day together and we were so grateful for the family time :)

This is a pic from Wednesday at the bookstore!

Kung Fu Panda...

& some of the other characters!

These are my 3 favorite characters of all!!!! :)

We couldn't miss the opportunity to snap this shot with the buck...even though we were on our way into Outdoor World :)

The cute little cafe' inside...reminds me of being on vacation:)

The area above the fish tank

The girls could stay here for hours, I think?!!

Roy said this was a drum...

...and these are tarpon!

Here is the cute catfish :)

The famous bass !!

This was Madi's choice for a picture :)

A horse for Mia :)

This was a great shot & we didn't have to buy a theme park ticket to get it!!! We are trying to be creative with our crazy gas prices and not spending much $$$$

My Adorable Hubby :)

This was our table in the cafe' while enjoying our coffee!

It is so nice to have the summer break!!!!!

Madeline with a cute hat...click on the pic to see!

Mia's first choice...to be a cowgirl...as she shouted wooo-hoooo!!! :)

This was the coolest 4-wheeler!

Mia would love to get on a skateboard...if only we would give her that freedom :)

Dreaming of our future visit to Hawaii...

...do you think she can hear the sound of the waves?!!!

Festival Bay is such a beautiful shopping facility...it's too bad it wasn't marketed more. The businesses have a hard time with the lack of traffic they receive and many have had to close (even before the recent craziness in the economy!)

Madeline took this one :)

Preparing for Father's Day...

We were almost ready to go to the library to start the summer off and then we decided to stay home and make the Father's Day Creations!

Here they are...when we thought we were going to the library :)

We are ready...lots of colors to choose from. They chose the colors they would paint on the birdhouse and I helped them visualize them before we started...just a few minor changes!

Madeline during her turn :)

Mia's turn :)

The finished masterpiece!!! Our farm-loving girls did a great job...I helped with the detailed areas :)

This was my creation for Roy...I painted the frame and added some scrapbook stickers. They said Faith and Blessings on the top and goodness~grace~love on the bottom. Then I put a pic from our Tennessee trip in there.

It was fun, inexpensive and we're hoping it will be a treasure to receive our handmade treasures over the store bought ones!!

School is out...Summer is here!!!

We did it...we finished on time...Praise the Lord!!! We now have a soon to be 1st & 2nd grader...Congratulations girls-you have worked so hard!!! God's grace is enough :)

Thursday we went to turn in the portfolios and then Dad took us to lunch at Mimi's Cafe...it was nice to just hang out! Thanks Dad & Grandpa :)

Then the girls got a treat for the end of the school year...Mia picked this cute fishing pole toy that has magnets to catch the fish...their imaginations take care of the rest!!!!

Today they dressed up as the Bride and her Flower girl. Madeline got creative with her veil & train...they always amaze me!! I don't think I was ever as creative as these two...it is a blessing to witness :)

Rain, Rain...please come see us today!!!

We live in a very strange area...maybe because of the hills? We have been in our house for 4 1/2 years and most of the rain, storms, showers seem to break up and go around us and then come together again when they head east of us...makes no sense!!! We never get the rainfall that most of the local areas receive. With that said, on Friday we got very dark skies to the east and south of us and I asked the girls to pray that we would get rain...that it would actually make it to our neighborhood...more specifically, our lawn ( we have seen it rain across the pond from us and we don't even get a drop!!!)

When Madeline was praying this is what I found on her Doodlepad :)

Praise God...it started...

...and kept coming...

I was sooo happy just to watch it pour, it has been so hot and DRY and we are on water restrictions now down to once a week. Not to mention our water bill with the size of our lot...yikes!

This storm brought high winds for us...those are our trash cans rolling around in the street!! The second house straight ahead had their gas grill blow over on their patio, their patio table into the back wall and the umbrella to the table was blown houses away from them!!! What a blessing to watch and to receive an answer to prayer!!!

Starting this weekend...

This is the table my Mom got for us!

Hi All,

Just wanted to let you know of an awesome sale that is going on…our neighbor just recently became the new owner of the Wood You store in Ocoee. At this location only he is running a sale for 20-40 % off from Sunday, June 8th until the end of June. The Wood You stores are usually closed on Sundays however, this month his store will be open for 5 hours on Sundays, during this sale until the end of the month. My generous Mom bought us a table for the schoolroom that I was in need of…I Love it…it happened to be a piece that was painted / stained in the store. This was the 7th piece of furniture she purchased there and she is very happy! It is solid wood and you generally stain or paint it yourself…I was just blessed to get a demo piece all done :) Their furniture is very reasonable…so check it out!!! His name is Tony- he is very friendly, helpful & laid back…not your typical furniture sales experience!!!

Here is the info for the store…

Ask for Tony…tell him the we sent you!!!

Fun with our new printer...

We did it...we stepped into the modern age with a new printer!! For those of you that know me and the cell phone we had and how old it supposedly was...this printer was much, much older...LOL!! We have had it for more than 10 years :)

Our new printer can print pictures with photo paper. However, Roy was in need of some family pics for his portfolio at work to share with his clients. So, today I had fun trying out a program that came with the printer and I wound up printing onto regular paper, not photo paper and this is how they turned out!! I think they look good...I was so excited...hopefully Roy will like them :)

Girl Time!

Here are the Bubble Girls!!!

Michelle & Sarah came over and we had a great day...watched a movie, played games, had lunch and a relaxing time just hanging out and chatting!! Now...the little girls (you thought I was talking about the kids above, didn't you?!!!) The girls had plenty of time to hang out in the playroom, watch a movie , played outside with the bubble wands that Michelle brought (thank you) and of course the swingset!!! It was a great day...so glad you all could come over...thanks for the snack too :)
