Good Morning Faithful Friends & Family,
Argie went to be with the Lord about 6:15 this morning...Hallelujah!
Up until December 31st…her vitals still remained strong. On paper, the past several weeks the doctors couldn’t understand why she was still on the ventilator. There was need to relocate her to a new facility for insurance reasons and she had to be off the ventilator in order to do this. On January 1st, they attempted this and thought she may have had a heart attack or stroke. However this wasn’t the case...they found out that her lungs were not able to exhaust (?) the CO2 that ours do. So the ventilator and tracheotomy stayed in place and she continued to communicate through writing on paper. On Tuesday she told my brother-in-law that she was ready to go and wanted the oxygen pulled. He talked with her about the Lord and got confirmation when she wrote that she is trusting in her Lord & Savior…Hallelujah…Glory to you God!!!! In the state of Mississippi even if you are of sound mind it is not legal to be taken off. From our understanding they had to treat her as a cancer patient and put her on morphine. They had found blood in her urine (not sure of the timeline on this) and felt her organs were in the process of shutting down. This went to every 2 hours as needed and then yesterday it went to every hour or as needed. They took the feeding tube out last night. At one point yesterday though she woke up (with a tracheotomy, ventilator and morphine) and asked for a Coke…:)…I love my mother-in-law, I will miss all the chuckles from moments like this…when her personality would shine through the circumstances!!
For most of last year during all the many miracles she received from the Lord…that is the one thing we were unsure of and have all been praying for above anything else…that she would surrender to the Lord and embrace Him and receive Him as her Lord & Savior. We are so very grateful to our God whose timing & plans are so perfect…for all the lives that have been touched and transformed by what the Lord did in & through her last year. The multiple prayer requests and praise reports that have strengthened not just the family but all those who prayed or were just around her to witness The Lord’s hand at work.
The family is so appreciative of your prayers over the past 10-11 months. You are all a huge blessing in our lives:)
We will be driving up there this afternoon…please stand in agreement with us for safe traveling mercies and favor along the way.
The Lord put this verse on my heart…Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
We love you all and appreciate all your love, support & prayers over this past year. God is Good and we give Him glory for all of this!!!
The picture above is the last time the girls saw Grammie in May 2006, they were not able to see her in the hospital the times we were there last year:)

Denise & Roy (and Madeline and Mia too),
Was so sorry to hear about your Mom, Roy. Can only imagine the sadness of losing a parent. I know that you and Denise and Madeline and Mia and the rest of the family and all of her friends will miss her ALOT (while she is no longer here on this earth). However, I am so very thankful to know that yall will see her again one day in heaven. I pray that God will wrap his arms tightly around all of you and bring you comfort and peace. Love, Scott, Jennifer, Hunter, Shelby & Brooke
I am sorry for your loss. It is hard to see our loved ones suffer this way and I'm happy that she is at peace at last.
