West Coast For A Day...

Our van was being worked on so we rented a very fuel efficient loaner for the day and headed for Crystal River. It was a nice drive over there and we really wanted to see the Gulf in this remote region. This is one town we passed through called Inverness. Such a neat old building!

They had the old mixed with the new.

For some reason the girls really enjoy riding in little cars compared to our spacious van! :)

What it started to look like getting closer to the coast. Lots of tall grass in the water (even though it was dead looking) it was still beautiful.

This is the one LITTLE beach we found...yeah, we can see the water!!!

It was a bright & sunny day...

...a perfect time for a healthy snack! :)

It was worth the drive over and the time we spent in the car!!

I really like this shot and imagined visiting this area in a boat!!

Checkers, Ginger & Goldy Have a New Home!

Grandma treated the fish to a new home with a bell to hide in & pretty green rock on the bottom. They are so happy...thanks Mom!! :)

Spring Projects

These easy to make bookmarks are available for print on the American Girl website. I cut them and then went and had them laminated, used a hole punch and tied on a ribbon. They turned out really nice and should help keep the girls excited to read!

I saw an idea on The Homespun Heart for this and printed the tulip template for it. I printed the letters with the font we liked and then the girls and I each colored two of the tulips. We got them laminated, tied them to the ribbon and now have a cute decoration for Spring and a nice keepsake of their artwork at this age.

The girls love to do crafts & projects of many sorts...Mommy just needs to be more diligent in this area!! :)
